SUNNI MUSLIMS EXPLAINED

 

Sunnis are divided in many factions but we can categories them in three parts.

  1. True Sunnis can be categorized as type one Sunnis. These Sunnis has great affection to Prophet Mohammed (PBUH&HF) and his Ahlul bayt. In the battle of Siffin these Sunnis fought along with   Shias against Muaviah. After the massacre of Imam Husain (A.S), his relatives and friends at Karbala (Iraq), these Sunnis revolted against Yazid. Many of Yazid’s accomplices were severely punished by true Sunni Muslims.
  1. Confused Sunnis who keep on changing are type two Sunnis. Some times these are influenced by true Sunnis and some other time by Hypocrites.
  1. Misguided, Deviant and/or Hypocrite Sunnis, they have double face, they pretend to be virtuous and have special interest in spreading hatred based on false allegations against other religions and sects.  These Sunnis had sided with Muaviah in the battle of Siffin against Ali (R. A.) and subsequently with Yazid against Imam Husain (A.S.). In Quran there is  chapter of  Munafiqoon (hypocrites) describing about hypocrites concealed among Muslims since the time of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH&HF).
