SCHOLARS

 

It may be noted that Shia Scholars are mainly devoting on Fiqh. The main in depth work on the subject of succession of Caliphate is done by Sunni Scholars who subsequently converted to Shia sect. Some of names are as below:

1. Maulana Maqbool Ahmed : He was a great Indian Sunni Scholar and writer of many books including Tafseer Quran which is banned in India due to objection of Sunnis.

2. Maulana Haji Ismael Devbandi: Passed out and worked as teacher in Darul Uloom Devband (Sunni seminary in India)   He wrote many books and participated in debates (Munazara) against Sunni Muslims particularly wahabis.

3. Maulana Mushtaq Ahmed : He was Sunni Scholar after conversion to Shia wrote many books including hundred (100) questions to Sunnis and afterwards thousands (1000) questions to Sunnis. He did not get answers of his question rather he was assassinated.

4. Allama Tejani: His famous book is “Then I was guided” he is participating in debates.

5. Iranian Sunni Scholars: Iran was a Sunni majority country for nine hundred years. It was part of Ummayad dynasty and Abbasiad dynasty made Isfahan as capitol. In 15th century there was a religious debate among Hanafi, Shafie, Maliki and Hanbali courtier clerics. Subsequently Allama Hilli a Shia Scholar from Iraq was also invited to participate in the debate. Finally one by one Hanafi, Shafie, Maliki and Hanbali courtier clerics converted to Shia sect, also other courtiers and King decided to convert to Shia sect and these newly converts preached very enthusiastically in Pesrsian Empire to convert to Shia sect.
 

Other Sunni Scholars Converted to Shia are:

Hafiz Saifullah Devbandi and his brother Amanullah Devbandi

Maulana Mohammed Ismail Devbandi

Maulana Mazharulhaq Devbandi

Syed Shahid Zaeem Fatimi Son in law of Syed Ataullah Shah Bukhari from Multan Pkistan, who was hardcore anti Shia. After conversion he wrote two books “PURDA UTHTA HAI (curtain is up) and “SYEDANA ALI AUR UNKE SIYASI HAREEF” (Syedana Ali and his political opponents). Both of these books are banned in Pakistan.

List of Sunni Scholars Converted to Shia is very long while so far not a single important Shia Scholar is converted to Sunni. The main reason of above mentioned Conversions are the False allegations against Shia while there is no counter False allegation by Shia against Sunni.
